Klika NJ blues
The band was formed in April 2009. The three-member band, composed of experienced musicians with a rich musical past, rehearsed in a classic line-up - guitar, bass, drums, while looking for other members. The HarmonicaFest 2009 festival in Prague helped the band to be formed. Petr (Petrock) approached Zdeněk (Špony) - an old friend of his through harmonicas, if he would expand the ranks of the band, just because of the HarmonicaFest. It happened and the band called Klika NJ Blues (NJ=Nový Jičín) went out into the world and performed at this festival but also in Novellara, Italy at the Bici-blues festival and many other cities in the Czech Republic.
2015 Petrock left and in the next period several guitarists were replaced, (in 2021 he was sent to the blues-rock sky by Covid).
In the following years, the line-up stabilized:
- Stanya: bass guitar, vocals
- Libor: drums, vocals
- Zdenek: sax, horns, el. flat kite, vocals
- Petr: el. banjo, vocal
- Jirka: el. guitar, vocal
The band is currently performing in Moravian-Silesian and Wallachian clubs and other events, either alone or with other blues, rock or jazz bands. The repertoire consists of their own blues-rock tracks with Czech lyrics on the theme of 3xz (life, women, thirst) and pub and blues standards (B.B.King, Mayall, Moore, Clapton but also V+W+Ježek, S+Š, or Misik...).
