Visací zámek
Visací zámek (colloquially known as Visáči) is a punk band that has been active on the Czech music scene since 1982. The band still plays in its original lineup. Especially in the early days of their career, they strongly influenced the sound of an entire generation of bands and the opinions of an entire generation of listeners. Hits such as Uniformy (Uniforms) and Dopravní značky (Traffic Signs) laid the ideological foundation for modern Czech anarcho-pacifism, while other early works by Visací Zámek are firmly straddled between extreme nihilism and early postmodernism. During the 1990s, the band moved away from its original anarchist ideals and punk sound, becoming more nihilistic in its thinking and perhaps closer to heavy metal in its music. Currently, the band is returning to its punk roots and trying to win over a new generation of fans with hits such as Známka punku (The Mark of Punk) and its accompanying music video.
At the band's concerts, the slogans "Punk's not dead, you idiots" or a modification of the slogan "Punk's not dead" to "Punk's not sweet" are often chanted, which have become traditional for the band.
