Information for visitors
The Beer harvest, or International Festival of the Golden Brew in the historic centre of Nový Jičín has been organised regularly sine 2013. The main purpose of this festival is presentation of micro-breweries from our region and also from abroad. Visitors can expect over twenty-five micro-breweries, the experienced brewmasters of which have prepared over one hundred types of delicious beer and beer specialities. The festival includes musical performances of various genres and a varied accompanying programme for all age categories. The festival is also ecological. Ecological refundable cups will be provided instead of classic plastic cups. Entry to the event is free of charge.

On the day of the Beer Festival the Visitor’s centre will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (TIC, exhibition).

TRANSPORT INFORMATION AND PARKING
BUS:
Bus stop Nový Jičín, bus station. The square is 200 metres away. You can find the connection using the IDOS schedules.
Special public bus connections:
- Line 602 in the direction of Hřbitovní - a departure from the bus station at 23:15.
- line 603 in the direction of Loučka - a departure from the bus station at 22:00 and 23:45.
- line 604 in the direction of Kojetín - a departure from the bus station at 22:30.
Special suburban bus connections:
- line 621 in the direction of Libhošt', Příbor-Prchalov, Skotnice, Příbor - departure from the bus station at 23:45.
- Line 665 in the direction Nový Jičín-Žilina, Životice u Nového Jičína, Mořkov - departure from the bus station at 23:45.
- Line 690 in the direction of Rybí, Štramberk, Závišice, Kopřivnice - a departure from the bus station at 23:45.
- line 697 in the direction of Nový Jičín-Bludovice, Nový Jičín-Straník, Hostašovice, Hodslavice - departure from the bus station at 23:45.
TRAIN
Nový Jičín – město station. Cross the road in the direction towards the bus station and then continue to the square. You can find a connection using the IDOS train schedules.
PARKING:
On the day of the Beer Harvest parking will be free on Tyršova, Gen. Hlaďo and Divadelní streets and in the main car park at Na Valech (by the marketplace).
DRIVING ONTO THE SQUARE (ONLY FOR PERFORMERS, BREWERIES, GASTRO AND ACCOMPANYING PROGRAMME).

WC
Throughout the event there will be a sufficient number of WC facilities available, which will be regularly cleaned. The public “porcelain” toilets can be found on Úzká Street (between Žerotín Chateau and the Bikemania Shop), or you will be able to use the portable WC facilities on Na Valech street (car park by the marketplace) and by the public toilets on Úzká Street.
WASHING TROUGHS
A washing trough with utility water, intended for washing the beer mugs you can purchase at the refund tent, will be available on the square.
WASTEBASKETS AND BINS
Although we are trying to reduce waste to a minimum using beer glasses and refundable cups, we cannot eliminate it completely. This is why a sufficient number of wastebaskets and also bins for sorted waste will be available within the complex. We ask visitors to keep the area tidy in their own interest and to help reduce the festival’s ecological footprint.

TOURIST INFORMATION AND ACCOMMODATION
During the Beer Harvest you can also visit the exhibitions at the Nový Jičín – Town of Hats Visitor’s Centre or the Nový Jičín Museum. You can find a list of tourist attractions in the town and a summary of accommodation facilities on the information centre’s website.

ORGANISATION SERVICE
SECURITY SERVICE
A security service will assure security in the backstage, VIP and refund stand areas and municipal police patrols will assure security within the event area, and will endeavour to assure the smooth progress of the entire event and prevent unnecessary complications. We also ask that visitors to the event endeavour to be obliging and act considerately to other visitors and performers.
FIRST AID
There will be a medic present at the festival, who will have a station in the VIP tent. If necessary you can also contact members of the organisation service – we will be wearing a green t-shirt ;-)
